Name: John K Email: jtk038@aol.com City: Hartford, Ct. I would first like to say thank you for the Big Papi picture that I won in the first drawing. I really think that Frank is a great artist and that we as fans need to spread the word. Sports cartooning is a dying art that needs to make a big come back. Frank has given us a forum to come together to enjoy sports and meet new people and for that let me be the first to thank him. Keep up the good work. |

Steve Smith Homepage: http://www.bostondirtdogs.com City: Thomasville, Alabama Sent: 18-Oct-2005 10:51 AM Frank, Thank you for your e-mail. I have been a lifelong resident of Alabama but I have been a RED SOX fan since i was 8 years old and i first saw Carl Yazstremski play in the '67 World Series. My dad was and is a life-long Yankees fan and I was being brought up to be one too. I have pictures that were made early in my life where i have a Yankees cap on. My dad even taught me to drag bunt like "The Mick", but after seeing Yaz on tv that first time, the die was cast. I had the privilidge to get to go to Boston and Fenway 4 years ago and see two games with my dad. What a trip. If baseball is a religion, then Fenway is my Mecca, my Vatican, my holy city. I learned of your work last season as I found BOSTONDIRTDOGS.COM. It, along with your site, is now part of my daily reading while i drink my morning coffee. I have always loved the power of an editorial and sports cartoon and I think yours are the best. Thanks again for the e-mails. I am still in morning over our quick dis-missal from the playoffs but the fact that my Crimson Tide is having a magical season is really helping the pain. A little, anyway. Thanks again. steve smith Thomasville, Alabama |
